Coolsculpting in Lansing, MI

You’ve dieted and exercised, and yet there are areas of your body that just don’t respond. It’s virtually impossible to lose those annoying muffin tops, love handles, saddlebags, and belly pooch. If you have stubborn fat that cannot be eliminated with diet and exercise, and you don’t want to undergo surgical liposuction, then you may be a good candidate for CoolSculpting®.

What is Coolsculpting?

Developed by Harvard scientists, CoolSculpting is a non-surgical procedure that uses cooling technology to noticeably eliminate fat without surgery. This FDA-cleared, patented procedure uses a targeted cooling process that kills the fat cells underneath the skin– literally freezing them to the point of elimination. Over time, these fat cells will be naturally processed and eliminated by your body. The fat cells are gone forever, giving long-term results. You will only feel slight pressure and intense cold in the first few minutes of treatment. Only fat cells are frozen, and your skin cells remain healthy. No knives. No suction hoses. No needles. No scars.

I feel confident in a two-piece bathing suit. I haven’t had a two-piece on in years and I can walk around with it on. I have a form-fitting dress on and when I walk down the street I feel confident. CoolSculpting is probably one of the best things I’ve ever done.” – Paige

Am I a good candidate for Coolsculpting?

Both men and women can benefit from Coolsculpting. Good candidates have noticeable bulges in certain areas they’d like to get rid of. If diet and exercise still can’t get rid of stubborn fat, you might consider Coolsculpting. Good candidates will also have realistic expectations for results and a positive outlook. Coolsculpting is not a weight loss solution for people who are obese or a substitute for surgical
methods, such as liposuction. Dr. Colony will determine if this treatment is right for you during a one-on-one consultation.

What can I expect after Coolsculpting?

You may start to see changes as quickly as three weeks after your treatment, and will experience the most dramatic results after two months. But, your body will still flush out fat cells and continue doing so for up to four to six months after treatment. While one treatment might be enough to see the results you want, additional treatments can be done to further reduce fat cells. Dr. Colony can help you decide how many treatments you will need in order to get the results you want. If you choose to have multiple treatments, they are recommended in three to six-month intervals. Maintaining a healthy diet and weight will ensure your results from Coolsculpting are long-lasting.

How long is recovery after Coolsculpting?

The procedure is completely non-surgical, so typically you can return to normal activities immediately. Some patients experience redness, minor bruising, tingling, numbness, or discomfort in the treated area, but this is temporary and will resolve completely.
