About Dr. Colony
Dr. Colony Attended North Dakota State University Where He Obtained His Degree In Pharmacy. Upon Graduating, He Began His Residencies In General Surgery And Plastic Surgery Through Michigan State University In Grand Rapids, MI. He Also Completed A One-Year International Fellowship In Microsurgery.
In 1996, Dr. Colony Was Appointed Associate Professor At Michigan State University And Became Director Of Michigan Plastic Surgery. He Is Also The Director Of The Sparrow Burn Unit And Wound Clinic At Mclaren Greater Lansing Where He Maintains Active Privileges. He Lives In East Lansing With His Wife, Two Daughters, And Three Dogs.
Memberships And Certifications
Dr. Lee Colony Is Board-Certified By The American Board Of Plastic Surgery, A Fellow Of The American College Of Surgeons, And A Member Of The American Society Of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) And American Society Of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS). He Also Maintains Membership With The American Medical Association, The Michigan Academy Of Plastic Surgeons, The Ingham County Medical Society, And The Michigan State Medical Society. Additionally, He Is Dedicated To Education And Speaks Nationally About His Plastic Surgery Experience. He Is Also The Author Of Be Your Best – A Comprehensive Guide To Aesthetic Plastic Surgery And Has Advanced Training As An Inspector For The American Association For Accreditation Of Ambulatory Surgical Facilities (AAAASF).
Dr. Colony Is A Prolific Expert In Body Contouring. He Is A Board Member Of The Lipoplasty Society Of North America, The Body Contouring And Research Foundation, And Lipoplasty University. Across The Country, He Teaches Instructional Courses On Surgical Body Contouring Procedures Like Liposuction And Tummy Tuck. In Fact, His “Advanced Lipo-Abdominoplasty” Lecture Is Included In The American Society For Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons’ Instructional DVD For Certification Maintenance
